The Department of Classical Music welcomes 450 students every year. They benefit from the supervision of a renowned teaching staff consisting of over 200 teachers and accompanists. The variety of existing specializations helps opening vast professional horizons to the graduated students. The trainings offer a suitable balance between the transmission of an important theoretical education via the teachers and a practical experience within various types of flexible ensembles: from chamber music to orchestra. Thanks to the privileged bonds the HEMU cultivates with numerous musical and cultural institutions, the ensemble activities constitute one of the strong assets of its education.
