CLASSICAL MUSIC
MUSIC PERFORMANCE

Master

The Master of Arts in Music Performance – Classical music prepares students for a career as professional performers, whether as freelance artists or in institutions such as orchestras and opera houses. This programme maintains high artistic standards and, thanks to its numerous specialisations, covers all professions related to classical performance.

The curriculum focuses on the main discipline (instrumental performance, singing or choral conducting), while also developing ensemble playing in orchestras and chamber ensembles. Theoretical and practical reflection in seminars completes this training.

The two years of study culminate in a Master's project structured around three areas: an artistic production (e.g. a recital), ensemble practice, and reflective study.

The 'orchestra' specialisation includes internships with professional Swiss orchestras to facilitate a smooth transition to professional life.
