The Master of Arts in Music Education prepares students for careers in music teaching at university schools of music and conservatoires to university level, or in state schools to upper secondary level. Teaching activities of this kind are an essential element in the professional portfolio of these musicians.

A significant part of the programme of study is dedicated to training in the main discipline (as performer or creator). The specific course in general pedagogy and teacher training also includes periods of practical teaching experience.

The two years of study lead to a Master's project designed around three axes: artistic (recital, creation), teaching and reflective analysis.
